WATERVILLE, Maine — Four people were charged and two arrests were made Monday night after Waterville police say they busted an underage drinking party at a motel.
Officers were dispatched to the Budget Host Inn on Kennedy Memorial Drive shortly after 11 p.m. when the quartet refused to leave their room due to a noise complaint, Waterville Deputy Chief Charles Rumsey said.
Hotel staff had told Skylar Caron, 20, of Waterville, Jacob Kerby, 20 and Angela Sordillo, 20, both of Benton and a 17-year-old girl to leave, and when they refused to comply, police were called, Rumsey said.
When officers arrived, the room was littered with alcohol and drug paraphernalia, Rumsey said.
Caron was arrested and charged with violating bail conditions and illegal possession of alcohol by a minor, and the teenager was also arrested after attempting to leave the area when police arrived, Rumsey said. She was charged with refusing to submit to arrest and possession of alcohol by a minor.
Kerby and Sordillo were not arrested but were charged with possession of alcohol by a minor, Rumsey said. Caron was released on bail from the police station and the teenager to the custody of her grandmother.
