Generator stolen from Hartland assisted living facility, police seek suspect

HARTLAND, Maine — Police are looking for the person or people responsible for stealing a generator from a local assisted living facility.

The 6,500-watt generator was stolen from Hartland Manor on Athens Road on Saturday, according to Chief Deputy Dale Lancaster of the Somerset County Sheriff’s Office.

The theft was reported to sheriff’s deputies on Tuesday afternoon, according to Lancaster.

Lancaster said sheriff’s deputies are attempting to acquire a serial number for the generator.

Deputy Wilfred Dodge is investigating the case, and anyone with information should contact him at 474-9591.
