BRICK, N.J. – Timothy E. Duffey, age 49, of Brick, N.J., passed away after a long courageous battle with cancer Saturday, Dec. 14, 2013, at his home in Brick, N.J. Born in Bangor, on Feb. 18, 1964, He was employed for over 30 years for D & D Trenchless Solutions in Tinton Falls, N.J. Timothy was a communicant of St. Dominic’s RC Church in Brick and was a past officer for Elks Lodge No. 742 of Long Branch.
Surviving is his wife, Lynne (Jasones) Duffey; his son and daughter, Shane and Olivia; a brother, Thomas Duffey of Bangor; and his sister, Robin Legere of Sweden, Maine. Also surviving are his three nephews, Andrew, Austin and Alec Schwartz; and two nieces, Stephanie Legere of Bangor, and Dayna Duffey of Bangor; as well as his sister-in-law, Jeannine Schwartz. Timothy will be greatly missed by his Mother, Shirley (Murray) Gross and her husband, Robert Gross, of Bangor; and also by his Mother and Father-in-law, Carole and Andy Novak of Brick, N.J. He leaves behind many loving friends.
In lieu of flowers, a trust fund has been set up in Shane and Olivia’s names and donations to it in Timothy’s name would be greatly appreciated. A benefit for Tim’s children will be held on Saturday, Jan. 25, in Long Branch, N.J., at: Long Branch Elks Lodge No. 742, 150 Garfield Ave., Long Branch, N.J.
