MILFORD – Kathryn M. “Kitty” Trembley, 64, died Jan. 17, 2014, at a Bangor hospital. She was born March 20, 1949, in San Antonio, a daughter of William and Teresa Rose (Sharp) Bretall.
Kitty enjoyed watching law, action and suspense TV shows. She was a wonderful caretaker to her husband John during his periods of ill health. She enjoyed shopping from catalogs and magazines and was a member of the American Legion Women’s Auxiliary. She found peace reading the bible every morning and was noted for her ability to quote scripture.
She is survived by her husband, John Trembley of Milford; a son, Johnathan Smelley of Kansas; a daughter, Carolynn Smelley of Orland; three grandchildren, Dustin, Corey, and Breanna Smelley; stepchildren, Richard Trembley and his wife, Barbara, of Albuquerque, N.M., Kim Loring and her husband, Wane, of Old Town, and Debra Harris and her husband, Tim, of Ohio; Ron Pooler of Milford and Steve Pooler of South Portland; stepgrandchildren and great-stepgrandchildren; and special friend, Edith Pooler. She was predeceased by her parents.
Friends may call 6-8 p.m. Thursday, at Birmingham Funeral Home, 438 Main St., Old Town. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. Friday, at Holy Family Parish, 429 Main St., Old Town. Immediately following the Mass all are invited to the Parish Hall for a light luncheon and continued fellowship. Spring Interment will be at Maine Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Augusta.
