BANGOR, Maine — People worried about a woman seen slumped over the wheel of her New York rental car at the Broadway McDonald’s restaurant Saturday morning called police, who found a wanted woman, drugs and drug paraphernalia, according to Bangor police Sgt. Cathy Rumsey.

Jennifer Farrington, 33, of Bangor, who was wanted for three outstanding warrants, was asleep when Officer Jason Linkletter arrived at the fast food restaurant at about 9:20 a.m., the sergeant said. She was found in possession of diverted Alprazolam, marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

She was arrested and charged with possession of a scheduled drug, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of marijuana.

Farrington, who was wanted for failing to appear in court and two counts of failing to pay fines, was taken to Penobscot County Jail and remained there Sunday afternoon, a jail official said.
