Bangor police looking for person who shot paintballs at vehicles passing on Broadway

BANGOR, Maine — Someone was reportedly shooting paintballs at vehicles driving by on Broadway Saturday afternoon, Bangor police Sgt. Cathy Rumsey said Sunday.

“At 1 p.m., the Bangor Police Department received a report of someone shooting paintballs at passing vehicles on Broadway in the area of Kenduskeag Avenue,” the sergeant said. “This case is under investigation. No one was injured.”

The shooter was able to hit at least one car with paint before leaving the area. He or she was not located. Police found a pair of black gloves in the area they searched, but it’s unknown if they are connected to the case, Rumsey said.
