BANGOR, Maine — A woman was taken to a hospital Thursday morning after the sedan she was driving went off Stillwater Avenue and into trees, police said.

The driver, whom police at the scene did not identify, was heading toward town when the accident occurred around 11 a.m.

The accident occurred about a half-mile from Chase Road, where police rerouted traffic while the scene was cleaned up.

An ambulance transported the victim to Eastern Maine Medical Center. The extent of her injuries was unavailable.
