Game notes: The Black Bears return home after back-to-back road losses at Hartford and UMBC. The Catamounts have won four straight, including Saturday’s 68-38 drubbing of defending AE champ Albany. UMaine is the league’s top-scoring team at 76.7 ppg but is last in scoring defense (86.4 ppg). UVM ranks second in scoring defense (66.6 ppg) and FG pct. defense (.419). UMaine freshman Troy Reid-Knight returns after missing two games with concussion symptoms. Voelkel is among the league’s best all-around players. Rebounding will be a key stat for the Black Bears.
