FARMINGTON, Maine — A local woman was indicted on felony drug trafficking charges Monday by a Franklin County grand jury.

Jennifer Goodwin, 36, was charged in September following a three-month investigation involving Farmington and Wilton police and a search of her residence in Sunny Hill Apartments at 276 Fairbanks Road.

She was indicted on charges of aggravated trafficking of drugs and conspiracy to commit trafficking.

Goodwin was living on Depot Street in Wilton in July, when Sgt. Edward Hastings of the Farmington Police Department and Sgt. Chad Abbott of the Wilton Police Department began working together after they received and shared information that Goodwin was selling prescription drugs.

She moved to Farmington at the end of the summer.

After learning more information, police obtained a search warrant in September for her apartment where they found two drugs not prescribed to her along with some that were, Farmington Police Chief Jack Peck said at the time.

They also found a digital scale in the apartment, he said.
