TAUNTON, Mass. – In Fall River, Mass., on Jan. 11, 2014, Mary “Peggy” M. Craig, 78, passed away in the Catholic Memorial Home following a lengthy period of failing health, while surrounded by her loving family. Mary was born in Rockland, Mass., the daughter of the late Robert M. MacLeod and Mary (Holbrook) MacLeod.
Mary has resided in Taunton since 1993, formerly of Patten, and Middleboro. She attended schools in Middleboro, and Husson College in Bangor, and a graduate of the Brockton School of Nursing. She was employed as the director of Day-Hab Services in Norton and an LPN. Mary was an avid Red Sox fan, she enjoyed music and above all cherished her grandchildren.
Mary leaves her children, Robert Craig and his wife, Kathleen, of Taunton, Sarah McNally and her husband, Patrick, of Berkley, Stephen Craig and his wife, Sharon, of Portland, and Marjorie Silva and her husband, Manuel, of West Wareham, Mass. She also leaves her 11 grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Mary is survived by her siblings, Sheila Emery of Abington, Douglass MacLeod and his wife, Cheryl, of Abington and the late Donald MacLeod. She also leaves several nieces and nephews.
Funeral 9 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 14, at O’Keefe-Wade Funeral Home, 70 Washington St., Taunton, Mass., followed by a Mass of Christian burial at 10 a.m. at Holy Family Church, East Taunton, Mass. Burial will be at Cedar Knoll Cemetery, East Taunton, Mass.
