SEDGWICK, Maine — A Blue Hill man attempted to break into a home here on Thursday, but fled the scene when he realized a resident was home, according to a prepared statement from the Hancock County Sheriff’s Department.

The resident called the police, who located and arrested Trevor Stover, 39.

Stover was arrested on two active warrants for failure to appear in court and was issued a summons for criminal trespassing. He was held overnight in the Hancock County Jail and released on Friday after a new fine payment plan was arranged.
