LINCOLN – Joyce A. Theriault, 77, went peacefully and gracefully to join the love of her life, Donald E. Theriault, Jan. 5, 2014, with her family by her side.
Joyce loved being at the lake, with her family and friends, making memories and playing horseshoes. She also enjoyed being out to the hunting camp and taking part in all activities involving her family. She was a waitress at the 95er Diner for years and gave back to her community every chance she could. She has touched so many hearts and will be greatly missed.
She is survived by four children, Lisa Bernard and Francis of Howland, Lynn Sawyer of Hermon, Paul Theriault and special friend, Cyndi, of Lowell and Peter Theriault and Kortney of Enfield; six grandchildren, Mike Bernard and Audra of West Enfield, Melissa Grant and Joey of Mattawamkeag, Renee Ireland of Milo, Rachel Bernard and special friend, Danny, of Howland, Eric Sawyer and special friend, Katie, of Portland and Delaney Theriault of Enfield; 10 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Marilyn King and Phillip of West Enfield, and Muriel Cummings of Howland; brother-in-law, Alfred Theriault and Gail of Enfield; and sisters-in-law, Mary Lou Sereyko and Richard of Howland and Bernadette Humphrey of Sanford. In addition to her husband of 53 years, Donald, she was predeceased by four siblings, Phyllis Kellogg, Rosalie Ryder, Phillip Blake, and Malcolm Blake; and three brothers-in-law, Roy Kellogg, Doug Theriault and Raymond Cummings.
Friends may call 7-9 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 8, at Clay Funeral Home, 7 Lee Road, Lincoln. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 1 p.m. Thursday, at St. Leo Catholic Church, Howland, with the Rev James MacGee officiating. Spring interment will be at St. Matthew Cemetery, West Enfield. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Alzheimer’s Association of Maine; or Orono Commons Activities Fund.
