Geraldine (Theriault) Castonguay

WINSLOW – Geraldine (Theriault) Castonguay, of Winslow, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, Dec. 31, 2013, at Inland Hospital in Waterville. She was born Aug. 7, 1939, in Fort Kent, the daughter of the late Hampy and Ernestine (Bouchard) Theriault.
She was employed for many years at Eastland Woolen Mill in Clinton and later worked as head cook for WT Gardiner at Telos Wood Camp in Millinocket. Geraldine retired from Hannaford Supermarket in Waterville following 15 years of service. He greatest joys in life were camping, gardening, quilting, cooking, crafts, and in her later years, farming at the ranch in Stetson.
Gerry, and later Dean as she was known by her family, had just celebrated 55 years of marriage on Dec. 28, 2013, with her husband, Dennis Castonguay. Other survivors include her children, Tina Quirion and her husband, David, and their cat, Scully, Donna Michaud and her husband, James, and their daughter, Nicole Harmon, Kevin Castonguay and his wife, Stacy, and their children, Chelsea, Thomas, Riley, and Patrick, Darren Castonguay and his wife, Kim, and their children, Miranda, Dan Pelletier Jr., and Johnathon Pelletier, and Darrell Castonguay and Joyce, and their children, Danielle, Justin, and their dog, Sam; two great-grandchildren, Sierra and Aaron Harmon; and the family dog, Baily; her siblings, Gerald Theriault and his wife, Charlene, of St. Agatha, Richard Theriault and his wife, Betty of Fort Kent, Phyllis Ouellette and her husband, Carol, of Winslow, Clarence Theriault and his wife, Brenda, of Fort Kent, Lester Theriault and his wife, Diane, of Presque Isle, Hermon Theriault and his wife, Clair, of Fort Kent, Geneva Pelletier and her husband, George, of Millinocket, and Sandra Carter and her husband, Kim, of Winslow; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Gerry was predeceased by her siblings, Raymond and James Theriault and Amanda Bourgoin.
At her request there will be no services at this time. A celebration of her life will be held at her favorite place, the ranch in Stetson on June 14. The time will be announced at a later date and all are welcome. Arrangements are by Mid Maine Cremation Services.
