SALEM – Bernard R. Michaud, 54, a resident of Salem, N.H., died at his home Saturday, Jan. 4, 2014. He was born in Fort Kent to the late: Renaud C. and Murielle (Pelletier) Michaud.
Educated in local St. Agatha Schools, he was a graduate of Wisdom High School in St. Agatha. He proudly served in the United States Navy having served on the USS Kiska in Concord, Calif.
He worked as a Carpenter for the Carpenters Local Union 26 in Wilmington, Mass., he was employed at various companies throughout the Greater Boston Area until his retirement.
He loved to fish and he was an avid sports fan his favorites were football and hockey.
He is survived by his sister, Theresa and her husband, Richard Corriveau, of New Hampshire; brother, Jean Paul Michaud of Madawaska; sister, Lorraine Thibodeau of Maine; and brother, James D. and his wife, Lillian Michaud, of Methuen, Mass.; as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was predeceased by his parents; a sister, Rita Campbell; and two brothers, Richard Michaud and Philip Michaud.
A funeral service will take place 11 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 9, at the funeral home. A burial will follow at Immaculate Conception Cemetery, Lawrence.
