Copper piping stolen from Friendship home

FRIENDSHIP, Maine — The Knox County Sheriff’s Office is investigating theft of copper pipes and fittings from a home.

The burglary and theft was reported to the department on Sunday morning. The house on Back River Lane had last been occupied about a month ago, Sheriff Donna Dennison said.

She estimated that the value of the copper was about $1,000.

There are no suspects at this time, she said.
