Ronald Tracy

SULLIVAN – Ronald Tracy, 86, died unexpectedly Dec. 25, 2013, at MCMH. Born Dec. 2, 1927, the son of Sylvanus Sr. and Grace (Bartlett) Tracy of Hancock.
He was predeceased by both parents; one brother, Carlton Tracy of Bangor; and his daughter, Glenda Rice of Peabody, Mass.
Ron served his country during World War II in the U.S. Navy, playing baseball for the Navy team. Although he spent many years in Mass., he always called Maine his home. For the past 14 years he spent winters in Naples, Fla., and summers in Sullivan doing all the things he loved to do with his beloved companion, Viola Pesillo by his side. He was an avid hunter, fisherman and golfer. He built beautiful elaborate birdhouses and grew bountiful gardens. Sharing his crops with neighbors at his vegetable stand in Sullivan.
Ronald is survived by his son-in-law, Ken Rice; grandsons, Ronald and Kenny; great-grandchildren, Dana and Alex, all of Massachusetts; his brother, Sylvanus Tracy Jr.; and his beloved companion, Viola Pesillo of Maine.
