Game notes: With final exams finished, the Black Bears are out to halt a three-game losing streak. UMaine dropped an 81-55 decision Sunday at Northeastern. Towson of the Colonial Athletic Association lost 69-63 Wednesday at Morgan State. Both teams own wins over LIU-Brooklyn. The Bears are averaging only 55.6 ppg in the last five games. Towson excels getting to the foul line (20 per game) but has shot only 24 percent on 3-pointers.

Game notes: Mired in a seven-game losing skid, the Black Bears will have their hands full against the Friars. UMaine, off to its worst start since 1969, has allowed 89.6 ppg. Providence of the Atlantic 10 has won two straight, including Tuesday’s 76-74 victory over Yale. The Bears will be challenged by the frontcourt size of the Friars, who are shooting 81 percent from the foul line. PC has won 32 consecutive nonleague home games and is 6-0 this season.
