HOULTON and MILLINOCKET – Geraldine M. Dhuy, 84, passed away at a local health care facility Dec. 17, 2013. Jerri was born July 15, 1929, in Millinocket, the daughter of John and Eatoil (Allbee) Mackenzie.
Jerri grew up and attended schools in Millinocket and graduated from Stearns High School. After graduation Jerri moved to Presque Isle where she was an operator for the phone company. While there she met a gentleman by the name of Ralph Dhuy. They were married and moved to New Jersey while her husband finished school. They moved to the Millinocket area where Dr. Dhuy set up his dental practice. They lived in Millinocket raising their family until Dr. Dhuy’s untimely death in 1971. Jerri moved to Houlton where she eventually went to work at Ivy’s Motor Lodge as the receptionist for 20 years.
Jerri is survived by her children, Carol Dhuy Bosse, Ralph “Biff” Dhuy, David R. Dhuy, and Adam J. Dhuy; and a sister, Linda Gail Mackenzie. In addition to her parents and her husband, she was predeceased by a son, Matthew E. Dhuy.
