BANGOR, Maine — Police continue to search for a 22-year-old local man who has been missing since Sunday.

A police canine team combed the area around the home of Tobi Lam on Monday without success, according to Bangor police Sgt. Cathy Rumsey.

Rumsey said Tuesday the investigation is ongoing.

Lam, who is new to the area, was reported missing by his family on Sunday, and was last seen around 10:30 p.m. Saturday, Rumsey said.

The family told police that Lam was gone when they woke up, and they have no indication of where he may have gone.

Lam also has no friends in the area that the family knows of, Rumsey said.

Lam stands 5 feet, 8 inches tall, weighs 180 pounds, has dark hair and brown eyes and wears glasses. He may have been wearing a dark jacket and dark winter pants. Rumsey said Lam’s behavior is abnormal and they are concerned about him.

Lam’s disappearance comes nearly a month after Cecil Worcester, 46, was reported missing. That case remains open as well.

Anyone who knows where either of these men are should call Bangor police at 947-7384. The department’s tip line can be reached by pressing extension 6.
