Gloria J. (Kilby) Walker

GLENBURN – Gloria J. (Kilby) Walker, 55, passed away December 9, 2013 after a courageous battle with cancer. Gloria was born in Bangor November 16, 1958 to William and Gladys (Morrison) Kilby.

Gloria grew up in Bangor and attended Bangor schools. In the late 80′s, Gloria along with her three children, Thomas, Casey and Amy moved to Arizona. Gloria then went to Trade School and received her Certificate in welding and was employed as a welding instructor, then she worked as a union welder, before retiring and returning to Maine in 2003. Gloria enjoyed working with stain glass, working in her flower gardens, reading and using her computer. Gloria was a warm and generous person, helping anyone if she could in any way.

Gloria was predeceased by her grandparents, parents and son Thomas Larcombe 3rd. Gloria is survived by her daughter Amy Larcombe, grandchildren Keira and Slade of Arizona, son Casey Larcombe, grandchildren Rylee, Casey II, Nena of Brewer, William of Winterport and grandsons William and Issac Larcombe of Holden.One sister Patricia Burke, nephews Shane and Galen Burke of Bangor, two brothers Michael Kilby, Bangor, Brian Kilby of NH, niece Jessica Kilby of Searsport and nephew Jason Kilby, of Bangor. Gloria will be sadly missed by her first cousins Bill and Dan Girouard, her close friends Anne Robinson and Kathryn LePage, Ron and Verna Mansir and others and a very special friend Larry Heywood of Glenburn.

Spring interment will at Birch Grove Cemetery, Glenburn. Family, friends are welcome to a Remembrance service at the Pine Grove Remembrance Center, 1347 Hammond Street, Bangor, Maine on Monday, December 16, 2013 from 2 pm to 4 pm.
