12 arrested in Old Orchard Beach drug bust

OLD ORCHARD BEACH, Maine — Several search warrants executed last week led to the arrest of 12 people on drug charges, according to police.

Old Orchard’s Special Enforcement team, along with officers from Saco, York, Scarborough, Maine State Police, the York County Sheriff’s Office and the U.S. Drug Enforcement Agency collaborated on the bust, Old Orchard Beach police Sgt. Gerard Hamilton said.

Arrested as a result of the search warrant were Marci Ladakakos, 35, of Old Orchard Beach, aggravated trafficking in scheduled drugs; Chad Grover, 32, of Old Orchard Beach, two charges aggravated trafficking in scheduled drugs; Charles-Vincent Day, 24, of Old Orchard Beach, two counts aggravated trafficking in scheduled drugs and operating a vehicle with a suspended license; James Fogg, 31, of Old Orchard Beach, three counts aggravated trafficking in scheduled drugs; Bryan Provencher, 46, of Old Orchard Beach, four counts aggravated trafficking in scheduled drugs; Derrick L. Berry, 60, of Saco, aggravated trafficking in scheduled drugs, two counts trafficking in scheduled drugs; Susan Gilmour, 51, of Old Orchard Beach, aggravated trafficking in scheduled drugs; Joseph Brill, 61, of Old Orchard Beach, aggravated trafficking in scheduled drugs; Tim Davis, 49, of Old Orchard Beach, two counts aggravated trafficking in scheduled drugs; Jason Longo, 43, of Old Orchard Beach, aggravated trafficking in scheduled drugs; Desiree Pelletier, 29, of Biddeford, aggravated trafficking in scheduled drugs; and Jerome A. Rinaldi Jr., 50, of Hampton, N.H., fugitive from justice.

Rinaldi is an escapee, the sergeant said.

The detail was part of an investigation that spanned several months and involved more than 60 law enforcement officials, according to Hamilton.

More charges are anticipated as the investigation continues.
