MILBRIDGE, Maine — A New York man living with family in Addison has been arrested in connection with an attempted robbery at the Milbridge Pharmacy in November.

Phillip A. Krehan, 30, who is from the Buffalo area, was arrested about 8:30 p.m. Friday at the home of family members he was staying with in Addison for about a month, according to Milbridge Police Chief Lewis Pinkham.

Krehan offered no resistance and admitted to the crime, which occurred on Nov. 7, said Pinkham.

Shortly after his arrest, Krehan was released on $750 cash bond, the chief said.

The arrest was the result of information obtained by Lt. Timothy Tabbutt of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office, said Pinkham. The arrest was made by Milbridge police and sheriff’s personnel.

A man entered the pharmacy about 4:15 p.m. the day of the incident and demanded prescription drugs, Pinkham reported earlier. The pharmacy employee refused. The man made a second demand, was rebuffed again, and ran out of the pharmacy.

No weapon was used in the robbery attempt, which was recorded by a security camera.

Maine State Police responded with a tracking dog, but it began raining and the tracking attempt was unsuccessful.
