BANGOR, Maine — A Bangor Water District repair crew is at the scene of a water line break that has resulted in the temporary closure of Short Street in the city’s downtown area.

The problem, which likely is weather-related, was discovered about 2 p.m., General Manager Kathy Moriarty said. The broken 6-inch line serves a commercial building that houses about half a dozen businesses, she said.

The line was expected to be repaired by late Monday night.
