BANGOR, Maine — A district court judge Monday set bail at $100,000 cash for a 21-year-old Orono man facing multiple charges in connection with a stabbing at a Park Street rooming house over the weekend.

Dorian Christian Sky Guerin aka Dorian Archer is charged with attempted murder and two counts of elevated aggravated assault, all Class A crimes, according to the Penobscot County district attorney’s office.

Guerin made his first court appearance Monday afternoon before Judge Bruce Jordan at the Penobscot Judicial Center.

The judge said the bail could be reviewed at a later date. Jordan also said he would take the prosecution’s request for a psychological evaluation under advisement.

He was not asked to enter pleas to the felony charges because he has not been indicted by the Penobscot County grand jury, which next meets Dec. 30.

Bail conditions include no contact with the victim, not to be at the victim’s residence, not to return to 87 Park St., where the stabbing took place, no possession of knives or other dangerous weapons and no use of drugs or alcohol and testing for the same.

Guerin was arrested Sunday, according to previously published reports.

Orono Police Chief Josh Ewing said Monday that police are not releasing the name of the victim, a 50-year-old man who suffered multiple stab wounds about the head and neck.

Officers were called to 87 Park St. around 2 p.m. Sunday and were able to break up the fight upon entering the building, according to Ewing. No officers were injured.

The case remains under investigation, Ewing said. The Park Street building offers individual rooms for rent.

If convicted, Guerin faces up to 30 years in prison and a fine of up to $50,000.

Guerin is next due in court on Feb. 4.
