SOUTH PORTLAND, Maine — A fourth man was arrested Monday afternoon in connection with a South Portland armed robbery, police said.

Samnag Im, 18, of Westbrook, was taken into custody after a traffic stop, according to South Portland police Sgt. Steven Webster.

Police had already arrested three suspects, Devon Grant, 18, of Westbrook and two juvenile males. The juveniles have been charged with robbery and Grant trafficking in dangerous knives, according to Webster.

Im was arrested after a search warrant was executed at a Haskell Street residence in Westbrook, Webster said. He was charged with two counts of robbery and brought to Cumberland County Jail.

The events leading to the arrests began at 6 p.m. Saturday when a pair of teenage girls were robbed at gunpoint in South Portland’s Brickhill neighborhood.

The incident remains under investigation, Webster said. Im is expected to be in court on Wednesday, where bail will be set.

The juveniles are being held at Long Creek Correctional Facility.
