VASSALBORO, Maine — A man’s body was found on property adjacent to the Maine Criminal Justice Academy on Friday morning, police said.

Department of Public Safety spokesman Stephen McCausland said the death of the man, whose name was not disclosed, is considered suspicious.

The body was found by Kennebec County Sheriff’s Deputies, who were dispatched to the scene around 7 a.m., McCausland said.

Police are questioning one man in connection with the death, McCausland said.

The state police spokesman later said one man is in custody on an unrelated charge, but McCausland wouldn’t elaborate on those details. More information was expected to be released later Friday afternoon.
