LEWISTON, Maine — Two women are facing drug charges after they were arrested in a Lewiston heroin bust last week, police said.

Carolyn DeBerry, 34, of Lewiston and Angela Crabtree, 31, of Augusta are each facing a charge of aggravated trafficking in scheduled drugs, according to Maine Drug Enforcement Agency Commander Scott Pelletier.

DeBerry was arrested on Thursday and Crabtree on Friday, Pelletier said.

DeBerry was taken into custody without incident after a search warrant at her residence was executed and 10 grams of heroin, 64 oxycodone pills and $3,700 in drug transaction money were seized, Pelletier said. The drugs were worth $4,000.

Using information gathered from the search warrant at DeBerry’s residence, MDEA agents went to an Oak Street location in Lewiston and seized another 20 grams of heroin worth $3,000.

Crabtree was arrested the following day on College Street in Lewiston, and upon her arrest, drug agents said they located 128 grams of crack cocaine worth $12,800 on her person.

Crabtree’s bail has been set at $10,000 and DeBerry’s at $15,000, Pelletier said. Both are being held at Androscoggin County Jail.
