Minot Eaton

DEER ISLE – Minot Eaton, 94, of Deer Isle, passed away peacefully on November 11, 2013. He was born in Deer Isle on March 20, 1919.

He attended school at the Sunshine schoolhouse and left home to work in Connecticut and Massachusetts, finally settling in as a specialized machinist at Pratt & Whitney. He was happily married to the late Kay Hakey of Holyoke, Massachusetts. They returned later in life to Deer Isle, and enjoyed being active together in their local church and dedicated themselves to their faith.

Minot is survived by his loving friend, Mary Faloon; his niece, Faye Reynard and husband, Phil, of Bridgeton, Maine; his nephew, James Eaton and wife, Marianne, of Deer Isle, Maine; several great-

nieces, great-nephews, great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews. He is also survived by a loving church family at the Bucksport Church of God.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Halma and Vivian Eaton; and his wife, Kay; along with a brother, Eugene Eaton; and a sister, Marcella Spear.

Service will be held at the Bucksport Church of God on Sunday, November 17, at 2 pm with visiting hours held at 1 pm. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in his name to the Bucksport Church of God.
