Wiscasset police identify woman struck Thursday by a flatbed truck

WISCASSET, Maine — Wiscasset police on Friday identified the woman struck by a flatbed truck on Thursday morning.

Kasey McNamara, 38, of Westport Island, was listed in fair condition Friday at Maine Medical Center, according to a hospital spokeswoman.

McNamara was struck at approximately 11:40 a.m. Thursday at the intersection of Maine and Middle streets by a flatbed truck driven by 19-year-old Evan Jones of Nobleboro, Wiscasset Police Chief Troy Cline said Thursday. McNamara suffered possible head and leg injuries.

The truck is owned by Quick Turn Towing, the police chief said.

No charges have been filed as a result of the incident, which remains under investigation. Wiscasset police and the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office are investigating.
