‘Nite Show’ on the road

BANGOR — “The Nite Show with Danny Cashman” will take its show on the road for the first time in about a year, bringing the show to the home of the Penobscot Theatre Company. The Nite Show will tape three shows starting at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 13, at the Bangor Opera House.

For the taping, special guests will be Noel Paul Stookey of Peter, Paul, and Mary fame; comedian George Hamm; and the Rustic Overtones will perform a few songs from their latest album “Let’s Start a Cult 2,” which will be released Nov. 26. In addition, “The Nite Show” will be celebrate the 40th season of Penobscot Theatre Company and will feature a number from the company’s production of “Cinderella,” performed by Dominick Varney, Ben Layman and Jesse Havea.

‘Honk Jr.’

BREWER — Next Generation Theatre will present “Honk” Jr., a musical retelling of Hans Christian Andersen’s tale of “The Ugly Duckling” performed by 44 area children, at 2 p.m. and 6 p.m. Friday and Saturday, Nov. 15-16, and at 2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 17, at the theater, 39 Center St.

Ticket, in advance or at the door, are $7, $4 children up to 17. Tickets are sold in advance or at the door.
