Incumbents retain Brunswick School Board seats; Millett wins close council race

BRUNSWICK, Maine — Incumbents Rich Ellis, Janet Connors and Brenda Clough won seats on the Brunswick School Board on Tuesday night, according to unofficial election results.

Meanwhile, newcomer Jane Millett won the Town Council’s only contested race in District 6 against opponent Alison Harris with 52 percent of the vote, 183-165.

Incumbent David Watson and newcomer Steve Walker won the council’s uncontested races in District 1 and 2, respectively.

Ellis won the board’s District 1 race against former School Board member Byron Watson with 55 percent of the vote, 233-184.

Connors won the board’s District 6 race against newcomer Daniel Hammond Jr. with 73 percent of the vote, 237-84.

Clough retained her District 2 board seat in an uncontested race.
