BANGOR, Maine — A search is underway for a 47-year-old female Dorothea Dix Psychiatric Center patient who is considered “at risk,” a Maine State Police dispatcher confirmed Tuesday night.

The woman, who is named “Sara,” was last seen on Odlin Road at about 2 p.m. wearing brown corduroy pants and a colorful shirt. She is described as 5 feet, 2 inches tall, with brown shoulder-length hair and blue eyes.

A call for search volunteers was issued Tuesday afternoon on the Down East Emergency Medical Institute’s Facebook page.

Among those searching for the woman are three teams from DEEMI, who were still sweeping both sides of Odlin Road as of 6:30 p.m. in DEEMI’s Humvee and two personal vehicles, Richard Bowie, director of operations, said Tuesday evening.

Anyone with information about the missing woman can contact Lt. Wes Hussey at Maine State Police Orono barracks, 866-2121.
