Power knocked out Friday by high winds mostly restored by Saturday

BANGOR, Maine — Power knocked out Friday by high winds was restored to most customers by noon Saturday, according to Bangor Hydro Electric Co. and Central Maine Power Co.

Bangor Hydro reported that about 4,200 customers lost power, according to spokeswoman Susan Faloon. Power had been restored to all but 167 by 11 a.m. Saturday. Of those, 159 outages were located in Hancock County.

Central Maine Power had restored power as of noon Saturday in all but 452 reported outages. Of those, 446 were located in Somerset County.
