WINTHROP, Maine — The body of a local man missing for nearly two weeks has been found, Portland’s WGME 13 reports.

Winthrop police said a resident found the body of Thomas Devoy, 60, in a wooded area not far from Devoy’s home off of Stanley Road in Winthrop. Devoy was last seen Sunday, Oct. 6. Police said he left his cellphone and wallet behind.

The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner is scheduled to conduct an autopsy this weekend to determine how Devoy died.
