MILO, Maine — Police and rescue personnel have located a missing Oakland woman who has been reported missing twice in the last week.

Carrie Commeau had been reported missing last Friday and found Monday, but was reported missing again on Tuesday, according to Richard Bowie, director of operations for Downeast Emergency Medical Institute.

Bowie said early Wednesday afternoon that Commeau has been found safe at a camp in Dover Township.

“We don’t know what’s going to be done with her yet,” he said.

Bowie said Wednesday morning DEEMI teams, the public, Milo police and Piscataquis County sheriff’s deputies had fanned out to search for Commeau.

Bowie said four ground teams from DEEMI searched. Between DEEMI, police and the public, about 25 people focused search efforts on the Milo and Dover-Foxcroft areas. Aircraft were not utilized.

Commeau has connections to the community, according to Bowie. She had been found uninjured Monday evening.
