Police issue warrant for Portland man in connection with Key Bank robbery

PORTLAND, Maine — Police have issued an arrest warrant for Matthieu S. O’Rourke in connection with the robbery of a Portland Key Bank.

O’Rourke, 35, whose last known address is 765 Congress St., is described as a white male, 5-foot-10, 175 lbs., with short brown hair and brown eyes. He also has various tattoos on both arms from his wrists to his shoulders.

On Sept. 27, the alleged suspect entered the 400 Forest Ave. bank at around 10:32 a.m. and handed a teller a note demanding money.

Police say the man did not appear to be armed. After he exited the bank with an undisclosed amount of money, the suspect fled on foot, according to a police announcement.

Police are asking the public for assistance in locating the suspect. If the suspect is seen please contact the Portland Police Department at 874-8584 or your local police department’s emergency communication center immediately.
