ADDISON – Patricia “Tricia” Louise Farnsworth went home to the Lord on Thursday, Oct. 3, 2013, with her mother at her side, surrounded by the love of her family. Tricia was born March 21, 1963, in Clinton, Mass., to Betty L. Farnsworth, but she grew up and spent her life in Addison.
She loved beano, bowling, going out to eat and all holidays – especially Christmas. Tricia never met a stranger, saying hello to everyone she met. She was an honorary member of the Addison Auxiliary, member of the Friendly Club and a parishioner of Harrington Baptist Church. She attended the D. W. Merritt Elementary School as well as the Sunrise Workshop in Machias since the day it opened its doors and was a longtime Special Olympics participant. She loved to visit new places and made two very special trips to Disney World with her family where she met her favorite Disney character, Goofy.
Tricia was predeceased by her sisters, Pamela, and Baby Pat; and her grandparents, Dorothy Mae and Leroy Alley and Charlie and May Farnsworth. Tricia is survived by her mother, Betty; sister, Penny Parsons; nephews, Matthew Parsons, and Lucas Parsons and partner, Jessica; great-nephews, and great-niece, Preslee Parsons, Landen Parsons, Keagan and Mariah; aunts and uncles, Donna and David Ouellet, Merrill Alley, John and Lois Farnsworth, Charlie and Lois Farnsworth, Darlene and Doug Dowling, Dolly Jordan and Bobby Farnsworth; cousins, Clifford Alley and partner, Heidi, Allison and Chris Chu, Kimberly and Harvey Crowley and Jacqueline and Luke Damon; and special friends, Nelson and Deb Read and Leta Hileman; as well as numerous cousins and friends.
A service will be held to celebrate Tricia’s life will be held 1 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 9, at Harrington Baptist Church, with Danny Davis officiating followed with a private family burial at Basin Cemetery.
