Elected to national board of directors

BANGOR, Maine — Eastern Maine Development Corp. President Michael Aube was elected recently to the National Association of Development Organization board of directors during the group’s annual business meeting.

Aube has been with EMDC since 2009 when he returned to lead the now 46-year-old organization. He also served as its president from 1981 to 1992.

CASTINE, Maine — The promotions subcommittee of Castine Community and Economic Development announced the fall schedule for its Watering Hole Wednesdays. The events are aimed at generating activity for Castine’s eating establishments in a typically slow time of year while providing residents and visitors an incentive to get out to socialize and network. The schedule is:

• Dennett’s Wharf, Wednesday, Oct. 9.

• Manor Inn, Thursday, Oct. 24.

• MarKel’s Bakehouse (downstairs), Wednesday, Nov. 6.

• The Tap Room, Wednesday, Nov. 20

•  Danny Murphy’s Pub, Wednesday, Dec. 4.
