Marie E. Clark

BREWER – Marie E. Clark, 80, loving and dedicated wife of the late John E. Clark Jr., died Sept. 26, 2013, at a Brewer health care center. She was born Dec. 25, 1932, in Atkinson, the daughter of Basil S. and Eva M. (Reed) Chase.

Marie worked a spinner in textile mills for several years. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church, Brewer, where she enjoyed attending the ladies Bible studies.

Surviving are five children, Eugene Barriault of Franklin, N.H., Michael Barriault and LuAnn of Bucksport, Donald Barriault and Ruth of Newport, Darlene Harding and her husband, Raymond, of Madison, and Norma Chase and her husband, Alden, of Milo; 13 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; four stepchildren, Jackie Burpee and her husband, Mark, of Orland, Brenda Burgess and her husband, Clayton, of Auburn, Deborah Parks and her husband, Edward, of Kansas, and Robert Clark of Brewer; and one brother, George Chase of Tennessee. She was predeceased by her husband; a brother, Charles Chase; and one sister, Lenora Reynolds.

Family and friends may visit 10-11 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 1, at Kiley & Foley Funeral Service, 69 State St., Brewer, where a service honoring her life will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, as the visitation concludes, with Pastor Andy Spohrer presiding.
