After a stretch of cool days and chilly nights, it looks and feels like autumn has arrived. The leaves have started to change and Mainers are outside enjoying fall activities.

Treworgy Family Orchards in Levant is a popular destination in the fall and was bustling on Thursday afternoon. Students on field trips were taking hayrides through the fields, families were picking apples and kids were in search of the perfect pumpkin.

“I love fall,” said 4-year-old Alexander Vivarelli of Levant, who goes to the orchard at least twice a week. “I like the leaves colors and I like picking pumpkins.”

His mother, Audrey Vivarelli, said she has been bringing him since he was a baby.

“They are so friendly here and it’s a great place to run,” she said. “It’s total freedom for kids.”
