Bruce Vinal Randall

DEXTER – Bruce Vinal Randall, 67, died comfortably in the early hours of Monday, Sept. 23, 2013, surrounded by his children.
He was born to the late Avis Mitchell Nichols and Vinal Randall on Jan. 13, 1946, in Charleston. Bruce graduated from Dexter Regional High School in 1964 and received an Associates Degree from Eastern Maine Vocational Technical Institute in Electronics in 1970. In 1996 he received a Bachelors Degree from Husson College in Accounting. Bruce passed his CPA exam and was a certified accountant.
Bruce was a retired Sergeant First Class from the United States Army. During his military career, which spanned over 25 years, he served one tour in Korea, two tours in Vietnam, two tours in Germany, and one tour in Iraq. He is a Veteran of both the Vietnam War and Desert Storm.
Bruce is survived by three children, Patricia Randall Saunders of New York City, Cameron Randall, currently deployed to Camp Casey in South Korea, and Jessica Randall of Dexter. He is also survived by his brother and sister-in-law, Brent and Melissa Randall of Sangerville; his sister, Belinda Roberts of Plymouth; and seven nieces and nephews.
Bruce loved photography; which is evidenced by the many boxes of photographic documentation on everything from his tours in the military to his children’s various enterprises. He was a voracious reader and passed his love of reading on to his three children. Bruce loved nothing more than to have a good talk with anyone about anything. He will be fondly remembered as a kind and caring individual, especially to his children.
A private graveside service will be held on Saturday, Sept. 28, in Garland.
