BANGOR, Maine — Four individuals accused of sex crimes involving minors were among the more than 50 people indicted Wednesday by a Penobscot County grand jury.
Alan Richmond, 21, of Brewer was indicted on two counts of sexual exploitation of a minor. Penobscot County Deputy District Attorney Michael Roberts said Richmond allegedly contacted a 14-year-old local girl through social media and persuaded her to send him sexually explicit photos of herself. After the incident was reported to police, a search of his cellphone and computer turned up sexually explicit video of a 16-year-old girl, also from the area, Roberts said.
Stephen P. Mooers, 51, of Bangor was indicted on three counts of unlawful sexual contact. Assistant District Attorney Alice Clifford said that Mooers is accused of engaging in sexual contact with a child who was 13 at the time in August of 2011.
Tracy L. Parent, 47, of Bradley was indicted on two counts each of unlawful sexual contact and unlawful sexual touching and one count of assault. Clifford said the assaults took place in August in Bradley and that the victim was 12 years old.
Robert Peak, 53, of Bangor was indicted on a gross sexual assault charge, Clifford said. He is accused of engaging in sexual contact with a child under the age of 12, she said.
