CARIBOU, Maine — Two people from Delaware accused of selling cocaine in Aroostook County and a Presque Isle man charged with trafficking in bath salts were indicted recently by the grand jury.

District Attorney Todd Collins said that 46 individuals were indicted on Sept. 13.

Paul Lovett, 32, of Felton, Del., was indicted for unlawful trafficking of scheduled drugs and criminal forfeiture, while Melaine Major, 50, of Milford, Del., was indicted for unlawful trafficking of scheduled drugs and unlawful furnishing of scheduled drugs. The two were arrested by the Maine Drugs Enforcement Agency on May 17 on U.S. Route 1 in Houlton after a traffic stop. Former MDEA Division Commander Darrell Crandall said that a tip came in indicating that the two had been in the Fort Fairfield area selling cocaine. Based on additional information that led to the traffic stop and a search of the vehicle, agents allegedly recovered cocaine and crack cocaine valued at more than $4,000 hidden inside a DVD player in the back seat.

Joshua D. Dunn, 26, Presque Isle, was indicted for unlawful trafficking synthetic hallucinogenic drugs and violating conditions of release. The MDEA allegedly caught Dunn accepting a shipment of synthetic cathinones, commonly referred to as “bath salts,” at his residence. Agents and police executed a search warrant at the home after Dunn took possession of packages containing what agents believed to be bath salts.

The combined weight of the drugs from both packages is just under 400 grams, or nearly a pound, he said. Agents also seized $900 in cash.
