MEDWAY, Maine — Medway firefighters are seeking the public’s help in searching for a missing member of their department.

Paul Lizotte was last seen on Tuesday when he told somebody he was heading to a fire, according to Medway Fire Chief Brian McLaughlin.

McLaughlin said no fires were reported in Medway, East Millinocket or Millinocket on Tuesday.

“There was nothing going on that day, so he definitely wasn’t going to a fire,” the fire chief said Friday.

McLaughlin said Lizotte has been with the department for “quite a few years,” and the two attended Schenck High School in neighboring East Millinocket together.

McLaughlin said Millinocket police are handling the missing person report. A phone call to Millinocket police placed Friday afternoon wasn’t immediately returned.

Anyone who has seen Lizotte should contact the Millinocket Police Department at 723-9731, or your local police agency.
