Bangor police investigating attempted robbery at Garland Street Market

BANGOR, Maine — Bangor police are at the scene of an attempted robbery at the Garland Street Market.

The incident at the market, located at 102 Garland St., occurred shortly before 10 p.m. on Thursday, Sgt. Larry Weber confirmed. Details were not immediately available, he said.

Nearby streets were temporarily closed off Thursday night. Area police were told to be on the lookout for a male wearing a blue hooded sweatshirt, a black hat and jeans.
