JONESBORO – Willis A. Snowdeal, 89, passed away peacefully at a Brewer health care center, Sept. 7, 2013. He was born Aug. 14, 1924, in Jonesboro, the son of Willis Noble and Nellie (Fish) Snowdeal.
He served in the U.S. Air Force from 1941 to 1946, serving 33 months overseas. He was in the hospital in England for three months which made him eligible for the Purple Heart Medal. He enjoyed lobster fishing and was devoted to making his family secure and happy.
He was predeceased by his wife, Mary (Thaxter) Snowdeal; and his three brothers, Joseph, Eric and Morey Snowdeal. He is survived by his three sons, Kenneth Snowdeal and his friend, Carol, Ordway Snowdeal and his wife, Rebecca, and Harper Snowdeal and his wife, Linda; 14 grandchildren; and a number of great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held 1 p.m. Monday, Sept. 16, at Great Cove Cemetery, Roque Bluffs. Arrangements by Bragdon-Kelley Funeral Homes, Machias.
