New mobile website

BANGOR — Rudman Winchell announced that the law firm has launched a new mobile website, rudmanwinchell.com. The mobile site was designed and constructed by Kevin Stevenson and Nobrainah Mediah in Bangor.

Earlier this year Rudman Winchell launched its online legal services site at e-stateplan.com.

 

New president

BANGOR — WBRC Architects-Engineers announced that Douglas W. Whitney has been selected at the firm’s new president. Whitney is an award-winning architect who has been a principal at WBRC since 1989 after joining the firm in 1980. He led the creation of the company’s Florida branch in Lakewood Ranch in 2002.

Whitney succeeds outgoing President and CEO Stephen B. Rich, who has served WBRC for 33 years, designing community landmarks such as UMaine’s Alfond Sports Stadium, UMaine’s Advanced Structures and Composites Center and Offshore Wind Laboratory, Hermon High School, and the Old Town and Falmouth Libraries.

 

Splash for Cash fundraiser results

BANGOR — The Hilton Garden Inn, the Hampton Inn and the Comfort Inn joined forces on July 27 at the Comfort Inn  to raise money to help area students with back to school supplies. The event, Splash for Cash hosted a car wash, dunk tank and cookout. The event raised more than $400, providing Manna Ministries with more than 40 backpacks.
