BROOKLIN, Maine — The Italian college student who was reported missing Thursday morning has been found unharmed, according to an official with the Hancock County Sheriff’s Office.

The owners of the Brooklin Inn reported Davide Armagni, 20, missing Thursday morning, when two waitresses who worked with him went to the inn to pick him up for a tour of Stonington and found no sign of him.

No details were available as to where Armagni was found, only that his employer had called the sheriff’s office Thursday night and told them that the student had been located and was safe.

Armagni is an engineering student at the University of Bologna who had been working at the inn over the summer, Angell said. Armagni’s job placement application with InterExchange, a nonprofit organization that provides cultural exchange and employment opportunities for young adults, shows that he is scheduled to be in Maine until Sept. 15.
