BANGOR, Maine — A 19-year-old Bangor man is facing an aggravated assault charge after a fight outside Mansfield Stadium last weekend, police said.

Roland Blenkhorn was the only person arrested in a Saturday night incident outside the ballpark, according to Bangor police Lt. Paul Edwards.

Edwards said the altercation involved several people intending to settle an unspecified score. He said several people with weapons ranging from baseball bats to hammers and tire irons showed up.

People did start to hit each other, the lieutenant said, but the fighting did not last very long.

When police arrived, they found one man on the ground complaining of head and neck pain, but he refused a hospital visit, Edwards said.

Witnesses at the scene said Blenkhorn was the main culprit, and he was placed under arrest and brought to Penobscot County Jail, Edwards said. He was later released.
