LINCOLNVILLE, Maine — A Rockport teen was injured after he fell out of a moving motorboat and it struck him.

Jayson Kuhn, 17, was a passenger on a 18-foot-long motorboat that was traveling on Megunticook Lake about 7 p.m. Saturday, according to Maine State Game Warden Doug Kulis.

The operator of the boat — Chandler Crans, 17, of Camden — was slowing the boat down when Kuhn lost his balance while standing at the bow. Kuhn fell in the water and the boat traveled over him.

He suffered cuts and bruises to his head, arm and hands, according to the game warden.

Crans was able to get Kuhn into the boat, took him to shore and then to a hospital. The injuries were not serious, Kulis said.

There will be no charges, Kulis added.
